Final Girls is a concept for Icons for Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights. This event would see the creation of 5 new original characters - Prudence, Grace, True, Serena, & Hope - and the return of HHN’s titan Icon, Fear.

Connected by the dark magic of an ancient spell book, 4 survivors are summoned by Film Studies major, Hope, and find themselves the target of Fear, who is threatened by their power and perseverance. Hope must avoid falling victim to Fear to secure her fate as the newest Final Girl.

The Final Girls both reinvent and parallel the rich lore already established by the event, and pulls inspiration from one of the most enduring and beloved trope in Horror. For the first time, the Icons would be heroes - not killers - and would serve as antithesis’ to Fears 5 Heralds: Caretaker (Death), Jack (Chaos), Usher (Vengeance), Director (Sacrifice), & Storyteller (Legend).
